CONFESSING MY IDENTITY IN CHRIST- HOW GOD SEES ME
Understanding our identity and how God sees us is vital to fulfilling destiny and maximizing the full potential God has deposited in us. Many times, we focus on our imperfections and deprive ourselves the grace to be a blessing to others. There’s need to become more intentionally aware of how God sees you and this is where confession comes in.
Confession is creating awareness of who God is to you and understanding how God sees you. It helps you to grow in the knowledge of our identity in Christ and builds your understanding, it also builds your confidence. Confession is SAYING and ACTING on what God has said concerning you, it’s not head knowledge, it should become your way of life, your lifestyle drive. Confession should shift our focus from worldly view to kingdom view.
Confession should not be a one time or once in a while thing, it should be a part of our daily us. This way we are able to combat the lies from the devil saying we are not enough.
Here, I made a list of confessions in my personal journal and I’ll love to share them with you.
· I’m made in God’s image (Genesis 1:27)
· I am beautifully and wonderfully made (Psalms 139:14)
· I am His flawless creation (Songs of Solomon 4:7)
· I am His masterpiece(Ephesians 2:10)
· I’m his perfect work of art
· I am enough because I’m His
· I am the work of His hand(Isaiah 64:8)
· He sees me as perfect (Songs of Solomon 4:7)
· I am chosen (1Peter 2:9)
· There is no condemnation for me (Romans 8:1)
· I have the spirit of power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7)
· I am greatly loved (John 3:16)
· God is mindful of me (Ephesians 1:4
I am His Creative Miracle and I’m not ashamed to be called His own. I revel in the glory of my identity in Christ and How God sees me. I no longer seek my validation from the world. God validated me already and that is enough for me and should be enough for you. Let His word be your resting place. You can add yours to the list.
